Music Generation is Ireland’s National Music Education Programme that transforms the lives of children and young people through access to high quality performance music education.

Initiated by Music Network Music Generation is co-funded by U2, The Ireland Funds, The Department of Education and Skills and Local Music Education Partnerships

 

Music Generation Galway City

Music Generation Galway City is managed by Galway City Music Education Partnership, led by Galway and Roscommon ETB in partnership with Galway City Council, Tusla, Galway Mayo Institute of Technology, NUI Galway, Galway City Partnership, local music partners: GTi School of Music, Galway Youth Orchestra, Maoin Cheoil na Gaillimhe, St. Patrick’s Brass Band, The Galway Music Residency, Music for Galway, the Galway Music Centre, youth services: Foróige, Youthwork Ireland Galway and Involve, festivals: Baboró, the Galway Jazz Festival and Galway International Arts Festival, representatives from the National Association of Principals and Deputy Principals, the Irish Primary Principals Association, the Post Primary Music Teachers Association, Galway Education Centre and media partner, The Galway Advertiser Newspaper Group.

Sym-Phonic Waves is a collaboration involving the Galway Music Education Partnership led by Galway and Roscommon Education and Training Board (GRETB) and Galway 2020. Members of the Galway Music Education Partnership include Athenry Music School, Coole Music & Arts, Headford Music Works, GTI School of Music, Galway Youth Orchestra, Maoin Cheoil na Gaillimhe, Music Matters, Galway County Council, Galway City Council and Ealaín na Gaeltachta. Other Irish organisations who have pledged their support are: the Irish Chamber Orchestra; the Irish Association of Youth Orchestras, the Esker Festival Orchestra and the Galway Music Residency.
