The Gaelic Football team from Galway Technical Institute won the GAA FE Corn Comhairle Ardoideachas championship on Saturday February 18th. They triumphed over Carlow Institute of Further Education with a score line of 4-10 to 2-6. The manager was John Keaveney and the squad members are studying on eleven different courses in the college. They hail from five different footballing counties – Galway/Mayo/Clare/Offaly and Longford. The team was captained by Joseph Lowry, a strength and conditioning student who plays club football with Ballycumber, Co Offaly.
