Andrina Wafer – QQI, Eithne Nic Dhonnchadha – GRETB, Marie Gould – ETBI, Niamh Lenihan – QQI, Alan Hogan – LCETB, Martha Bolger – KCETB ETB representatives from the ETBI QQI IQAVET Steering Group, by invitation from QQI,  attended the EQAVET Forum in Brussels on Wednesday 7th December.

The Forum was organised by the EQAVET Secretariat on behalf of the European Commission as part of the European Vocational Skills Week.   The Forum focussed on two key topics,  i) fostering VET graduate tracking, and ii) Improving quality assurance in VET, and in particular in work based learning.

These topics have been identified in the New Skills Agenda as important action points in order to strengthen human capital, employability and competitiveness. The Forum provided an excellent opportunity for ETB colleagues to learn more about how these topics are being addressed in different European countries, to share practical approaches and experiences and to network with other participants.
