GRETB (Roscommon) Back to Education Initiative (BTEI) is a dynamic flexible programme which offers courses in line with emerging trends. It is not only a re-entry route to formal certified recognised education for those in the workplace but also offers opportunities for participants to build on current qualifications in preparation for a return to work or further education.
Flexibility is the key word, courses are offered on a part-time basis thereby allowing participants the opportunity to combine learning with family/personal commitments. Courses are offered throughout the county at Levels 1-5 on the National Framework of Qualifications (NFQ) and also at various times, currently BTEI offers Childcare, Healthcare and Business at FETAC Level 5, also many FETAC/QQI Level 1-4 options are available . Courses are open to all over the age of 16 and out of full time education, however priority will be given to those with less than Leaving Certificate.
Courses are free of charge to the following participants:
- Those with less than Leaving Certificate
- Those with a Medical/GP Card
- Those in receipt of a means tested DSP payment
- Dependants of those in receipt of a means tested DSP payment
